The repair process looks like remanufacturing and can sometimes reach the production of a new barrel in terms of cost to the customer. If you have a very large or elaborately equipped extrusion barrel, (ie; water or oil jacketed barrel, pin barrel, or large rubber mixer) the cost can be less to repair than completely replace.
We offer the resleeving of both injection and extrusion barrels with bimetallic or tool steel liners.
If your feedscrew is stuck in your barrel give us a call. We can walk you through the process of what to do next. We offer the service of pressing the screw out and will work with your team on the next steps to get your line back up and running.
Designed to fit the following specifications:
Barrels relining is a standard process in our manufacturing facility so we do not recommend that you throw out a worn barrel until you talk to us. Relined barrels perform equal to or better than the original barrel lining and are dimensionally straight and on size. Relined barrels often present an immediate cost saving over replacing with new.
